WHAT IS MICRODERMABRASION?
Microdermabrasion is a very effective cosmetic procedure that combines the power of Diamond Head exfoliation and gentle skin suction to remove dead skin cells from the skin, help the skin build new collagen and make it easier for skincare products to penetrate into the deeper layers.

HOW LONG DOES A TREATMENT TAKE?
Microdermabrasion generally takes 45 minutes to one 1 hour 15mins.
HOW WILL MY SKIN LOOK AFTER THE TREATMENT?
Your skin texture will be instantly smoother, fresher, the pores will be clean. It may be slightly flushed and feel warm due to the stimulation of the treatment. This flushing is called erythema (increase of blood flow) and brings more nutrients, vitamins and oxygen to the skin, what helps repair and stimulate collagen production.
WHAT ABOUT AFTERCARE?
You can return to normal activities almost immediately. Your skin therapist will advice you accordingly.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I REQUIRE?
Your skin will feel smoother and cleaner after just one treatment. To experience maximum results for specific skin concerns a sequence of treatments are usually recommended which vary per person. We recommend a course of 5 to 6 treatments with 2 weeks apart. Follow-up care may include monthly maintenance sessions.
ARE THERE ANY CONTRAINDICATIONS?
Severe cystic or painful acne, current or recent Roaccutane therapy(<6 months) rosacea and or severe telangiectasia, active cold sores, warts, unstable diabetes, auto-immune system disorders, recent start of Retin A, recent waxing, No considered safe during pregnancy, prone to hyper pigmentation, active eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, vascular lesions (haemangioma's or “port-wine-stains) HIV or hepatitis B or C positive.
IS MICRDERMABRASION PAINFUL?
Microdermabrasion is a very comfortable, non-invasive skin treatment. Most clients feel very little to no pain during their treatment. The sensation when having a microdermabrasion treatment can be compared to that of an exfoliating scrub combined with a light facial massage.
